Introducing another exclusive title for the PSP – The 3rd Birthday
It’s coming less than 2 weeks time and I'm receiving lots of news and details regarding bout it. In case you dont know what the hell is this all about, perhaps you heard of Parasite Eve which was released back in 1998 and 2000. Yes, there’s 2 titles. Parasite Eve 1 and 2.

 

I’d been playing all the classic titles like MGS and Legend of Dragoon. Finished MGS in 5 hours but LoD takes long time and I started to pissed off whenever it came to black screen, Im still in Disc 3 tho. Nevermind that, you wont even know what Im talking about unless you played them. =.=

Yup, The 3rd Birthday will mark the third entry in the Parasite Eve series after Parasite Eve 2, schedule to be released on 22nd December 2010 in Japan and Q1 2011 in North America and Europe. Perhaps you should have a look at this first…

I dont know about you after watching but to me, is definitely a must have for the PSP. X) Despite Im gonna play it with Japanese when it release but Im sure it gonna keep me busy for the Christmas!
Being developed by the same team that brings us Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy Agito XIII which is under development right now makes me got excited bout it and ever since then, been chasing and following news about it. Im a BIG BIG number 1 fan of Final Fantasy. 你吹咩？xp
Getting back to topic, The 3rd Birthday was originally announced as a mobile phone title and was confirmed exclusively for the PSP later then in 2008. Aya Brea, as the main focus of the game.

The 3rd Birthday, is an action role-playing game described by Square Enix as a "cinematic action RPG". Director Hajime Tabata noted that the gameplay and plot are intertwined due to an ability called "Overdive," which is an ability that lets you switch bodies with one of your team members. Using the skill, you can freely control other people. Overdive also allows Aya to dive into the mind of the Twisted causing lethal damage. You can change your currently controlled character in real-time, intermixed with your combat actions. The game will also have limited third person shooter elements, but will be different than Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII. Shown at a trailer at Tokyo Game Show, camera will be over the shoulder, such as in games like Resident Evil 5 and Dead Space. Other abilities such as liberation will also be available which provides Aya with a powerful surge of energy and supernatural speed in battle. Aya can also provide orders to her fellow soldiers to target specific enemies or to defend themselves. An array of different costumes will be available to Aya, a white jacket over her default clothes were the first to be shown, since then a business costume in which Aya dresses up as a secretary has been shown, Aya can also cosplay as Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII. Also available is an apron dress which is fashioned in the style of a maid's dress and a Knight costume.

In case you dont know, both Aya Brea and Lightning share the same voice actor too! Which means Lightning voice cast by Maaya Sakamoto in FFXIII also voice Aya Brea in The 3rd Birthday! After all, it the same company that develops them! AHAHAHA!
Like mentioned above, there will be 10 costumes available for Aya in game. Check them out in the official website under “Character” section! Oh by the way, The 3rd Birthday’s Soundtrack will be released on the same day. Maybe you can hear some samples here! It plays your mood. As for the PE 1 and 2 OST, its currently out-of-print, and reissued on Jan 26, 2011! Classic pieces if you ask me worth getting not. X)
